Member of an Agile team responsible for supporting IT Systems for our Manufacturing business customer running our chemical plants and refineries.
Responsible for resolution of day to day Manufacturing application technical issues, interface with internal clients and external vendors, implement changes as specified by business clients and technical leaders, and participate in large global projects related to these applications.
The team is responsible for a portfolio of more than 300 Reliability and Engineering applications, the major applications include: Meridium, SmartPlant, Autodesk and SAP Plant maintenance.
The team’s primary manufacturing clients are engineering users, so applications supported include those that improve equipment reliability, as well as major engineering documentation platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide pro-active and timely communications regarding system outages, issues, work a rounds and solution details
Able to provide effort estimation for assigned projects and work tasks
Plan, coordinate, test, and execute potential changes to the applications when required by technical leaders and clients (system upgrade, introduction of new solution, etc.)
Develop and update system and support documentation (installation guides, troubleshooting documentation, access documentation, etc.)
Be cognizant of application security issues and the closure of any identified security gaps (as identified through standard processes such as internal audits, penetration testing, etc.)
Ensure security and controls standards are being met and followed
Coordination with other EMIT support teams to maintain application reliability (network team, server team, etc.)
Teamwork skills, collaborating with the local/global team pears and maintain them updated about the work status.
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in IT Fields
Knowledge of common infrastructure hosting platforms and application architecture (multi-tiered application / high availability / MS Azure (preferred) / Amazon AWS / on premise virtual server infra)
Database management tools (MS SQL Studio / SSRS / TOAD)
Windows Server Environment (Citrix / v-App / client server environment)
Solid foundation in networking technologies and concepts
Required proficiencies: scripting (PowerShell, SQL, etc / Web Services/API’s / Database technologies (SQL Studio, SQL, Oracle, etc.) / Web server hosting technologies (IIS, etc.) / Cloud hosting platforms (MS Azure)
